Germany’s Foreign Minister Visit

On Monday 3 November 2014 Mr. Frank Walter Steinmeier, as the Foreign Minister of Germany, visited Istana Merdeka to meet The President. The main focus of the meeting is to strengthen economic cooperation between the 2 countries. The Indonesian foreign minister is recommending Indonesia to become a production base for South East Asian market because Germany is one our important partner, sharing 7,3 Billion USD worth of trade value.

After the meeting, Mr. Steinmeier and his team proceed towards Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to head back home. Departure process in Halim was handled by JAS Airport Services, and was attended by Embassy of Germany in Indonesia, as well as some local reporters. There were ASA crews to assist and greet the team from VIP terminal until boarding the aircraft. Mr. Steinmeier with around 50 other crews and VIP passengers boarded the Airbus 340-200 aircraft at 16.00 pm local time, and departed out of Halim at 16.20.
